Roger grew up outside Detroit, MI helping neighbors run for office and that experience anchored his activist life.  Later, at Schoolcraft Community College, he became student council president and saw the talent he had for leading and organizing.  That talent and interest did not stop.  In 1992, he took a new program, the Agricultural Clean Sweep Program for hazardous wastes, and brought it to high national rankings and became an activist with his state employee union.   During the insurrection years of 2010-2011, he got involved in political protests and connected with the WI Grassroots Network where he brought new programming and leadership to the annual Festival.  Since retirement he has spent more time helping his home town, Stoughton, remain “blue” and work local elections.
